(alternate ending) Suddenly an unseen Hand came between the licking flames and our cringing members, lifting us up and out of that glowing greedy pit like an eagle mother catching her catapulting offspring on the brave warm feathers of her back. Hoorah! "Oh frabjous day! Caloo! Calay!" We were saved! And more than saved. We had learned to fly. Above that hellish pit, and even out of reach of its fumes.

There is no hell. There is no alternate ending. Entropy extinguishes all.
